Daymak C5 Blast: Is It The Fastest GoKart?

If you enjoy racing Go-Karts, you probably are a bit of a speed avid like myself and if you are a speed avid, then you are guaranteed to ask yourself the same question, “What is the fastest Go-Kart in the world?”. Well, look no further – I am here to tell you!

The Daymak C5 Blast is known as the fastest Go-Kart in the world, it can reach 100 km/h (~ 60 MPH) in 1.5 seconds which is faster than most of the hypercars in the market (for example, Bugatti Veyron does it in ~2.5 seconds).

Did you like this spec? If yes, keep reading to find out more about this speed beast, including the specs, costs, and more.

What is the Daymak C5 Blast?

If you are new to the Go-Karting scene, Go-Karts are racing vehicles with a reputation for being lightweight, quick movers, and having great handling capabilities. But not every go-kart is the same. We know they move quickly, but how quick is quick?

It’s not new for go-karts to outperform race cars on real circuits; we’ve seen that happen before. However, the Daymak C5 Blast introduces two fresh novelties: extra speed and performance.

Currently, the Daymak C5 Blast is the world’s fastest electric go-kart. The kart is still in its early stages, but it is still outpacing the previous record holder.

According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the Daymak C5 Blast is one second faster than the fastest-recorded kart ever. It has so much speed, that it can accelerate from 0-60mph in less than 1.5 seconds. I don’t think it’s possible to comprehend the speed this kart can produce!

And the manufacturers aren’t stopping there! The company intends to make the up-and-coming models even faster than the first. But for now, we are treated with the fast, lightweight, and speedy Daymak C5 Blast.

Now, let’s examine the features, functionality, cost, and design in more detail.

What are the Specs of the Daymak C5 Blast?

You can only find this type of speed, with the Daymak C5 Blast. It is built with 12 Electric Ducted Fan (EDF) motors and has a 10,000-watt liquid-cooled motor.

These eight 120mm-diameter EDF motors work together to produce a 96-kilogram upward thrust. The remaining four 140mm-diameter EDF motors are located at the back and together they produce 60 kg of forwarding push.

The weight of this particular kart drops from about 200 kg to about 100 kg when the EDF motors are activated. The record-setting acceleration and speeds are made possible by weight reduction.

But don’t worry, if you don’t want such an intense kart with so much speed, they do offer a regular version of it. This model cannot travel as quickly as the EDF model, but it travels incredibly quickly for its requirements!

What are the Performance Features?

The regular version of the Daymak C5 Blast is also super quick. It can reach the same speed, 0-60 mph but only in 3.9 seconds. So, it is safe to say that it is still top-of-the-line and much faster than many of the professional Go-Karts we find today.

All forms of supercars and superbikes are outclassed by the Daymak C5 Blast on a straight. This is typically due to its lightweight design and technology. But, they do say that on the race track it most likely won’t beat all vehicles.

How Much are They Sold for?

The Daymak C5 Blast is now the fastest go-kart in production, but with that speed comes a hefty price. Essentially, the EDF version of the karts will be $59,995, or roughly £34,000.

There is a less expensive option that does away with the EDF motors for individuals who don’t want to spend this much money on a rapid electric kart. The Regular edition is about $9,999 – so if you have a budget, that is probably your next best bet.

What is Special About the Design?

More often than not, there is no use in having a model that is fast but doesn’t look good. The two don’t seem to go well together, so you can only imagine how neat the Daymak C5 Blast looks.

The Kart looks incredibly stylish and aggressive with its matte finish and glossy black colors. It gives off a mean, sexy and opulent feel which can make any racer feel more invincible than ever before.

A silver seat is added to this, creating the ideal contrast with the dark chassis. The way the EDF motors are shown, though, is the coolest aspect of the kart’s design. These motors are the main attraction because there are two of them, one on each side of the driver’s back.

The EDF motors are quite obviously different from the rest of the body due to their dazzling gold hue. These components, along with the C5’s skillfully constructed curves, offer it the ideal balance of minimalism, panache, and boldness.

Is The Daymak C5 Blast the Fastest Go-kart in the World?

To answer it simply, yes it is and it is known worldwide!

The Daymak C5 Blast outperforms several competitive racing cars, such as an F1 car, a MotoGP bike, and a supercar. It is propelled by twelve extremely powerful electric motors. A huge 2.4 kWh Lithium Panasonic battery as well as 12 x 5000mAH batteries power these motors.

Who Created the Daymak C5 Blast?

The Daymak C5 Blast is redefining what the term “fastest go-kart” means. Its quick acceleration achieves 0-60 mph in more than one second longer—2.6 seconds—than the regular version.

The Toronto-based business, Daymak is the manufacturer of the C5 Blast. More than 150 merchants receive the Light Electric Vehicles (LEVs) that they are currently designing and developing.

They produce more than 50 different electric vehicle models and innovate steadily. Since its founding in 2002, the business has received numerous honors, including The Clean Tech North American Award. It is a well-grown and known karting company globally!

Daymak wants to dominate this market for automobiles and entirely get rid of CO2 emissions. The C5 Blast is an example of what can be done with electric vehicles and speed, especially go-karts.

Where Can You Buy the Daymak C5 Blast?

You cannot purchase this through shops or internet marketplaces, because it is not a typical street kart. Instead, you must make your purchase straight from Daymak’s website after filling out the necessary forms.

You must speak with a sales representative after they’ve received your request. After that, they will walk you through the ordering procedure, explain the payment terms, and determine an expected time frame. You can expect to wait at least 60 days for delivery if you want to own the fastest go-kart in the world.

Upon request, the sales representatives can also provide you with additional information about the Daymak C5 Blast and more.

But, of course, all this processing be worthwhile as soon as you sit down and test out this lightning-fast go-kart!

Final Say

To summarise, the Daymak C5 Blast Go-Kart is a serious piece of equipment that plays more like Gran Turismo than Mario Kart.

The all-electric machine, which was created in Toronto, Canada, uses a series of Electric Ducted Fan motors to reduce its effective weight to under 100 kg and a liquid-cooled 10kW brushless motor for explosive performance.

The result is a 0-60 time of just 1.5 seconds, which is quicker than any current production supercar. For one-sixth of the cost, it will also be available without the EDF motors, hitting 60 in less than four seconds, which should be sufficient for everyone except the most speed-obsessed racers out there.

So, are you willing to take the Daymak C5 Blast on the track for a spin?
